PRP Therapy
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, or PRP, is a regenerative medical treatment that uses a patient’s own concentrated platelets suspended in a small volume of plasma. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells with necessary growth-healing functions. Platelet activation plays a key role in the body’s natural healing process. Platelets naturally release growth factors that stimulate healing, and when concentrated at high levels, promote faster and more effective healing.
The main goal of PRP therapy is to reduce inflammation, promote healing, and accelerate the repair of damaged tissue. It can be used to treat a variety of conditions and can be an effective alternative to more invasive treatments.
PRP for Joint Pain and Injuries
For joint issues like osteoarthritis, PRP injections can reduce pain while providing lubrication to joints as well as helping regenerate cartilage cells. In addition, it helps with tendon injuries by stimulating collagen production which speeds up recovery time.
PRP for Hair Loss
In this type of application, the PRP is injected directly into the scalp or the area of concern on the face. This will stimulate the body’s natural healing response and assist in the regeneration of tissue, resulting in increased hair growth and reduced hair loss. PRP helps to increase blood flow and nourishment in the skin.
